INTRODUCTION
Department
of
Physics started its journey in the year 2005 at Sao Chang College with one
regular teaching staff at the level of lecturer along with one lab Assistant
under Nagaland University. From the year 2005 the Sao Chang College starts
running its science stream also. The department has been catering to the
demands of the science students offering physics subject at undergraduate level
pass course only in the mode of three years degree course till 2011. Semester
system started in the year 2012. The department is having a laboratory and a
dark room to carry out its practical experiments. Presently the teaching staff
strength of the department is only two teachers.

To impart
quality education in Physics to rural and economically weaker students.
To create
interest to opt for Physics as a major subject in higher education.
To make
the students creative and research oriented.
To raise
the standard of our students to global levels and make them employable.
To
provide a platform to the students to show their talents and creativity with
innovative ideas.

awareness about the scope of the subject
